Back in our Hotel Good Luck lodge I got my promised, beautifully red, slightly falling apart plastic boots for Island Peak summit. It was supposed to be our trekking agency's "store" here (as it was presented by its "leader" Suman), but considering that Kul Tamang Sherpa (the lodge owner who gave me the boots) runs his own company Himalayan Mountain Guide from here, I guess they just have a nice partnership going on.
Potato quality, both photo and boots. But they took me up Island Peak and back just fine.
Perhaps renting them in Chukkung might have been a better idea after all. But then again, perhaps not - no one will ever know now.
Anyway, let's climb Nangkartshang Peak.
