La Vélodyssée: Day 8: La Barre-de-Monts to Saint-Nazaire

Today's route plan:

Even more canals.

Rig pic of the day.

Le passage du Gois. Unfortunately the low tide schedule did not match the time of me visting the place (and I couldn't hang around, as had a train to catch in the evening), so was not able to cross it.

Moving on.

Port de Champs.

Huh, another rig pic of the day?

Yet again canals and marshes.

Bar à huîtres Gratt'huîtres in port de Brochets.

Road-side shopping.

Pornic.

Almost at the end now, can already feel sadness filling up the air.

Last snacks in Saint-Brevin-les-Pins - freshly made beignets, super tasty!

Last adventure - the previous time I took a navette to cross the Saint-Nazaire bridge, this time decided to ride it. Happy to have it ticked off, but to be honest it did not feel very safe, what with very narrow shoulder and strong side winds.

And that's it!

Just in time to catch TGV from Saint-Nazaire back to Paris...
