If Namibia is 'Africa for beginners', as is often said, what a wonderful place to start.
Namibia combines in one country so many of my passions – the sculpted, natural-born perfection of a sand dune, wildlife in great numbers and with great stories, and a palpable sense of wilderness at so many turns. Etosha is one of my favourite parks in Africa, the Namib is one of the world's most beautiful deserts and my love of Damaraland, with its desert lions, desert elephants and black rhinos, deepens with each passing year.
