La Trans'Bleausarde

Oak groves, pine forests and beech forests, silted plains, unusual rocks, breathtaking views, unexpected ruins... With a height difference of more than 1000m and more than 50km of trails, this itinerary is aimed at experienced trailers who want to refine their training over long distances.

Been talking to a friend at work about my recent 35 bosses trail run in Forêt de Fontainebleau, and he innocently asked if it was "that 50 bosses" (or perhaps 50 km?) route he had heard about?

Well, no, it was not.

Obviously I pointedly doubted his knowledge at first, still hoping that my 35 bosses was the most challenging route there was in the Paris region, but then sheepishly asked him to try to recover some info on what he was talking about.

And, lo and behold, he did.

Turns out it was La Trans'Bleausarde - 52 km with 842 m of climbing, crossing Forêt de Fontainebleau from east to west, starting at "Fontainebleau-Avon" Transilien Ligne R station and ending at "Maisse" RER D station.

A faire one day, in August probably? First I need to be done with (and rested after) June Marathon du Mont-Blanc and July La Marmotte...
